The Cottage
Quiet. That is what grumpy, loss-ridden George Morgan wants. When he unexpectedly inherits a cottage at the edge of some deserted woods, he thinks he’s found his hideaway.Until the ghosts of 150 years ago start knocking at his cottage door.George is the end of his family line—but the family history is by no means dead. The ghosts at the door are not ghosts at all. And those uninhabited woods behind the cottage have an awful lot of inhabitants in them: nosy neighbors who have been trapped in time for more than a century, and a crazy, albeit beautiful lady who runs the forgotten town by…uncanny means.George has more left to care for than he realized. But someone of extraordinary power is stalking his every move, and options are running out. George has only his own past and a haunting piece of music to save himself and the townspeople, before he loses the last of all he loves. The Cottage is a magical realism novel set in the American Midwest. While it’s geared toward ages 18-30, it will appeal to a wide age range and has received high praise from middle grade to adult readers.
From a different era...some books on motherhood
Published under "Naomi Haupt"
In the throes of early motherhood, I compiled a little book of practical help for new moms. Not because raising tiny children was easy for me, but because it wasn’t. Glorious, yes. Beautiful, yes. Hard…oh my goodness, yes. The Mom’s Handbook to Happiness comes from my own gut, heart, and the insight of over 900 other moms. Its publication led to the creation of a handy, dare I say lovely, daily/weekly/monthly planner for mothers, and later a contribution chapter to two books in the You’ve Got This, Mama series. It’s a wild ride, moms of little ones. Hang on tight, laugh often, and know that there is help along the way. May these be a light for you in the midst of the crazy.

She also authored a handy little book for new moms in 2017 and contributed to two books in the You’ve Got This, Mama series (YGTMama Inc) in 2019.When not writing, she homeschools her rapidly growing children, tries to whomp her husband at Scrabble, plays music, wrangles chickens, attempts to garden, and perfects her gluten-free baking skills.

Happiness does not mean that you are never frustrated, never sad, never wishing you were sitting alone on a private beach watching the stars (unless that's just me). It means you are foundationally doing well. You are content, despite the day-to-day craziness of life as a mom.Geared for moms in the early years of child-raising, The Mom's Handbook to Happiness lays out the eight biggest battles moms face in the season of raising small children and describes how to effectively manage them. Filled with practicality, humor, and wisdom derived from hundreds of moms, these pages take a fresh, authentic look at this extraordinary season of mothering little ones and provide a wealth of ideas for thriving in the chaos.Motherhood is a crazy hard, crazy beautiful undertaking! Prepare to be encouraged, challenged, equipped and entertained - and also reminded (hallelujah) of the simple things, including the power of a secret stash of cereal.
